About Maggie

Maggie is a visual artist who specialises in painting and hand-made prints. Maggie has a BA Painting and an MA Creative Practice. She frequently exhibits her work locally and regionally. Maggie is interested in the cultural landscape of the Humber region, from the urban and industrial to the pastoral. She encourages the viewer to reflect on the relationship between the actual place and her interpretation of it.

Maggie captures moments in time, using printmaking techniques and the richness and versatility of oil paint to speak through the images she creates. She explores the way human activity and the environment interact and develop. “Sketches, prints, and layers of paint build up organically into my own interpretation of what I see and feel.” Maggie’s work is inspired by poetry and walks along the Humber Estuary.
